The 4* star Art Hotel City Leipzig is an art and design hotel very close to the main train station, old town, Leipzig Zoo, Quarterback Arena, Red Bull Stadium and Congress Center. Very centrally and conveniently located with 72 rooms for an individual and beautiful stay in Leipzig.

For this hotel, the artist Anna Tessenow has focused her work on well-known showbiz stars such as Keanu Reeves, Sean Connery, George Clooney and others in her magnificent Leipzig School paintings. The exhibition comprises around 200 works on canvas and paper. The artist depicted is in the foreground, painted in bold, bright colors.

The house was designed by the renowned architect Prof. Johanne Nalbach – both for the architecture and the interior design.

The hotel manages the balancing act between old and young and is equipped with modern communication facilities so that all guests can enjoy their stay, whether for business or pleasure, in the city center of Leipzig.

In our modern house you will find the breakfast restaurant with a balanced breakfast buffet, a cozy lounge to relax or work together and 8 underground parking spaces, which must be reserved in advance. Alternatively, paid parking spaces can be used in the zoo parking garage 300 meters away. In the lobby you will find our art store where you can purchase drinks and small snacks. A credit card or a security deposit of 50 euros in cash is required at check-in.

Cancel room cleaning – conserve resources – do good

By voluntarily waiving your room cleaning and exchanging your towels, you make a great contribution to reducing water, electricity and detergent consumption. For every room cleaning you save, we will donate €1 to the “Elternhilfe für krebskranke Kinder Leipzig e.V.” association, which is committed to helping children with cancer and their families.

Simply let us know at reception the evening before that you would like to forego your cleaning.

accommodation tax

The city of Leipzig is introducing the accommodation tax from April 2023.
5% on the accommodation price will be due from April 1, 2023 and paid to the
city.

Exceptions for tax exemption:

Children and young people up to the age of 18
Severely disabled persons with a degree of disability of 80 or more and their companions
Guests with a secondary or main residence in Leipzig

The accommodation tax applies equally to business travelers and to
private travelers; exemption for business reasons is not granted.
